The flask very ornately decorated and pierced with intricate spiral lattice designs with finely threaded top of similar form and containing a number of gaming token/sticks in bone some painted and shaped in the form of muskets, soldiers, pikes trumpets and other musical instruments and numbered, their exact purpose now unknown. This work of art must constitute hundreds of hours of work. The cylinder 13.5cm overall. French prisoners of war occupied their time in making these items from cattle and other bones in their spare time. Late 18th early 19th century.
